Sap! was started by cousins Chas Smith and Nikita Salmon who come from an eighth generation Vermont family that has been crafting maple products for over 50 years. We started this business because of our passion for sustainable forestry and the need for natural, healthier beverage products that taste great. 

We first created a line of three pure products made out of 100% pure maple sap (Maple Sap! Soda and Maple Sap! Seltzer) and 100% pure birch sap (Sap! Birch Sparkling). We have now added a line of Sap! Sparkling Waters made with a base of birch sap and other premium ingredients infused in for flavor. 

These products make you healthier when consuming, which we see as a revelation in an industry traditionally dominated by added sugar and artificial ingredients. In these products we are combining three of the most notable movements in food & beverage: nutrition, plant-based, and sparkling. 

The sparkling water and soda categories are long overdue for reinvention, and Sap! is leading the charge by creating the best of health, flavor, and sustainability with our products. 

Sap! has gained national prominence through being featured on ABC's Shark Tank and in publications such as Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, Country Living, USA Today, and many others.
